#3420. キーワードを複数含む英語ことわざの一覧 [proverb][keyword]

 昨日の記事「#3419. 英語ことわざのキーワード」 ([2018-09-06-1]) を受けて,英語ことわざを特徴づける50のキーワードが実際にいくつか含まれていることわざを挙げておきたい.安藤リストの全866件のなかから,5つ以上のキーワードを含むことわざ(重複あり)は33件ほど見つかった.  *

 ・ No man better knows what good is than he who has endured evil.
 ・ See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.
 ・ Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; show him how to catch fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

 なるほど,英語ことわざの典型がいかなるものか,何となくつかめてくる.賢愚,邪正,貧福,貴賤.キーワードを組み合わせれば,適当なことわざを作れてしまえそうなほどだ.逆にいえば,少なからぬことわざが表わす知恵や真理というものは,限られた数のキーワードを組み合わせることによって表現できるほどのものなのかもしれない.だから内容も軽いと言いたいわけではなく,むしろ重いのだろう.
