【Summary】
Choice earth science T (a geological feature) received practical training in geology , the topography that attached great importance to outdoor activity conventionally. However, I changed the purpose since Keio senior high school became a SSH school "improve a study skill and the creativeness of a student by I analyzed personal material and environment, and understanding the constitution".It is study geology examines a rock and stratum and a fossil or water unfolding on ground, and to clarify the constitution. Students study chemistry and biology as a required subject with earth science, a second grader with a first grader. If these study did the class that fused, I thought that I could let them experience science education of a higher level. The analysis study that assumed geology a theme is suitable for it. In addition, I adopted imminent local sand and shell and water to an analysis sample. Because when it uses a medicine offered from the place that students do not know, it will be a scientific experiment without independence of will.

【A class plan】
The first half year did lectures and trainings to extend necessary knowledge to do research activities. I let the latter period divided students into some groups and do research activities and aimed for finally making a philosophical approach to science sentence. I show below an annual class plan.

First half year course from April to July
   A personal local figure (Kanto plains)
* Surveying of Hiyoshi campus (lower Sueyoshi plateau blood relation part)
* Analysis of a topographical map, the place name and relation with the topography (valley, hills)
* Fieldwork of Kokubunji cliff Line(observation of a stand section, structure of spring water)
* Rock judgment of a collection rock in Kokubunji cliff Line and a search of the origin
   A personal local component (Kanto plains)
* Mineral microscope observation in the loam layer
* Shore fieldwork of Shonan Coast(variety and the origin of sand)
* Microscope judgment of a constitution particle of sand of Shonan Coast
* A geological feature of Fuji, Hakone,Tanzawa ,Kanto mountainous district(the origin of sedimentation thing)
   Personal local environmental constitution (weathering of a rock and material circulation, a seawater side change)
* Weathering of chemistry, a seawater ingredient of a rock, behavior of an ion
* Sea standard change and history of plateau aspect formation
* Rhythm to read from the isotope ratio in an age stripe, an annual ring, an ice core
Latter period course from September to January 
* Students are divided into three groups and do research activities
* Sample collection, analysis in a university laboratory of chemistry 1
* Interim report society, an argument with an expert
* Oiso, Odawara, Hakone volcano fieldwork and an argument with an expert
* Sample collection, analysis in a university laboratory of chemistry 2
* Data analysis, announcement document making

* Philosophical approach to science sentence making

【Extracurricular study (Shonan Coast, Oiso , Odawara, Hakone volcano)】
I did fieldwork twice, lodging training once and gathered the sample which was necessary for analysis and understood a letter of product. 5In fieldwork of a cliff of Kokubunji that we went after school of May 12, we understood geological feature structure of a plateau and gathered a loam.I let students understand that a constitution ingredient of sand of the shore was full of variety in fieldwork of Shonan Coast of June 1 and let them think about the origin and a transportation process of sand.In the off campus lodging training that I did for a subsidy of SSH on 30th from November 29, I moved sequentially from Oiso and crossed Hakone volcano in east and west. We deepened understanding about history of volcanic activity of Hakone volcano regarded as the origin of the loam which wrapped up whole South Kanto and looked at the end of large-scale pyroclastic flow.By intense rain, We were not able to do pyroclastic flow sedimentation thing and observation and collection of a loam enough on Saturday.However, rain stopped on Sunday. Therefore we observed it with five places while moving by a bus and a mountain climbing train and a ropeway and were able to understand multilayer activity of Hakone volcano and relation with sedimentation thing of Kanto plains.We visited Kanagawa Prefectural Museum of Natural History at the evening of Saturday. We deepened understanding about the earth history and history of local geological feature. Then, we invited Mr. Daiji Hirata Mr. Takehiro Sato of a researcher in intermediate announcement of the study that we pushed forward from September.The later study policy of students became clear and was tied to improvement of motivation for a study of a student by having got appropriate advice from them about evaluation for a study and future directionality.

【Lectures】
An expert did a lecture for the purpose of raising study will of a student. I invited Mr. Hiroshi Hagiya of a lecturer at Musashi industry University to a senior high school on November 7 (Fri.) and had them give a lecture on elemental behavior and circulation to be able to put on the earth.In contents to be tied to a food chain and a story of global material circulation that weathering of a rock and movement of an ion were able to include a human being in, reaction of a student was excellent.In addition, he gave a lot of significant comment about possibility of other interpretation to explain analysis technique and precision of data, a result about an individual study of a student by the latter half of a lecture.Because a meaning of the data which they got by analysis of the study first half and a study policy of the latter half became clear, I think those were effective in raising will for a study of students.

【Cooperation with a university】
I requested Shikazono laboratory (a geochemistry laboratory) of Keio University department of science and engineering for cooperation to push forward a study by this subject. We used the analysis machinery which a laboratory owned and analyzed chemistry while getting postgraduate students' cooperation with Professor Shikazono.Because a department of science and engineering of Keio University is near to our school, We can do analysis from the sixth lesson to after school.I visited a Shikazono laboratory in April and May and identified an operation method as a kind of analysis machinery. And to some extent I assumed the study theme that these analysis machinery could use while putting an argument on Professor Shikazono.And I taught students necessary knowledge and general idea in a lecture and training. I did hope investigation to a student at the time of the first half year end and made three studies squad. I let them improve motivation of research activities of the latter period as a home work by summer holidays. I did the analysis at a university to the sixth lesson of Friday. It is three times in October and four times in November and December .I had graduate school straight 2 of a laboratory become TA. The analysis that I used a XRF device for is as follows. An ultimate analysis of augite included in shore sand. Ion analysis of the subsurface water which I used atomic absorption analysis equipment and ion chromatography for. Analysis of a trace element of a shell with atomic absorption analysis equipment.It was a considerable burden for the laboratory side that 12 high school students thronged to a small laboratory, and adjusted a sample by a way of using hands that was not used to, and touched in an analysis device. However, the Professor Shikazono and the students of a laboratory helped us to a processing method of the data which may be able to have been always invited to willingly and evaluation of a result.Analysis machinery is the operating busy time for a laboratory of a university fully from October to December. Because the laboratory side still considered a schedule and a plan of the machinery use, We were able to do analysis work of students smoothly.We handled the data which we got by analysis work of October and were able to solve the new questionable point that I produced by evaluating a result by analysis in November and December. It was very effective to raise results of research in a high level.
