STARTS OF THE WEEK PICTURES

As a review for Class #1, we had these excellent self-introductions on April 21.
These stars talked about themselves with very good physical message! Just excellent!!

PRESENTATION RANKINGS

These rankings are based on students' peer evaluation sheets, and they are not necessarily
evaluated the same way by the instructor of this class. Yet, presentations are not only for the
teacher but also for your audience. And these rankings show how well these people
"communicated" with their audience in their speeches. Congratulations!!! I hope many of you
will appear in these rankings.

SPEECH #2 "SHOW AND TELL" (June 2, 2010)

1. Hirauchi (Average Score = 22.39 out of 25.00)
2. Takeuchi (22.35)
2. Domoto (22.35)
4. Nuki (21.87)
5. Kurechi (21.59)

When you look at your speech in the DVD, look at these people's
presentations too! You can learn a lot from good presentations.
Note that the class average was 20.04.

SPEECH #3 "Movie/Book Review" (June 9, 2010)

1. Hirauchi (Average Score = 31.55 out of 35.00)
2. Takeuchi (31.33)
3. Mukai (31.15)
4. Domoto (31..05)
5. Nuki (30.57)

Mr. Hirauchi did it again! He was selected as a #1 speaker for Speech #3.
Congratulations! And we have a new comer in the ranking list; Mr. Mukai.
Welcome! Yet, notice that the differences in the scores are very small,
and this means all these are very good speeches. They must have rehearsed
a lot with a watch, and their physical message was good. At the same time,
these speakers used the worksheet carefully for Speech #3 and prepared
the story message (or the content) of their speeches well. Once again,
when you look at your speech in the DVD, look at these people's
presentations too! You can learn a lot from good presentations.
The class average was 28.09..

SPEECH #4 Introduction of Final Speech (June 16, 2010)

1. Hirauchi (Average Score = 28.61 out of 30.00)
2. Domoto (27.56)
3. Takeuchi (27.28)
4. Suzuki (26.44)
5. Sato (25.56)

We have two new comers to the ranking list; Mr. Suzuki
and Mr. Sato. Congratulations! Although their names
are not written here, there are a couple of students who
were selected to be among the top 10 speakers for
the first time. Good! Keep it up!
FYI: Theclass average was 24.95.

SPEECH #4 Final Speech Rehearsals (June 18 and 23, 2010)

The class average was 39.9, and these top speakers did
very well with their rehearsals. As you can see by
comparing scores, Ms. Takeuchi was the overall
top speaker! Congratulations!!!
