Academic Oral Communication（外国語教育研究センター）
This course is designed for students with basic conversational skills in
English, who are considering taking content courses taught in English (classes
at the Keio International Center, PCP, or at foreign universities). The
listening section of this class focuses on note-taking: students learn
to focus on accent/stress patterns, to pay attention to key vocabulary,
to predict the main point(s) of the lecture based on the assigned reading,
and to use symbols/ diagrams to take notes in an efficient fashion. In
the speaking section, students will learn the skills necessary to manage
group discussions, to use the lecture notes that they've made, and to improve
their oral presentation skills. This course will be taught only in English.
