英語セミナー(上級)
サブタイトル: Foreign Food Franchises in Japan
Students will learn about the different dietary cultures in the world, as well as basic business concepts and the language of the business world, in English. Using this knowledge, they will analyze a sector of the food industries in Japan. Each student will choose one non-Japanese company in the sector and conducts research covering the following three topics; company profile, stock price change, and company performance. The results of the survey will be presented in two speeches (individual and group), planned at different times of the semester. Reading/writing assignments
are planned to prepare students for their research projects. Opportunities for speaking practice will frequently be given in class in the form of group discussions. This course will mostly be conducted in English. Students should read and use the information on the course homepage (http://web.hc.keio.ac.jp/~matsuoka/) before each class.
