For Friday, April 20, 2018:

1. Get the Japan Times (JT) on the morning of Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at a newsstand of a train station near your house. Note that the JT is a morning paper and that you CANNOT buy it in the afternoon. If you should forget to get the JT, go to the JT and buy a copy of the news paper. See this map for info about where the JT is. Call their sales department before you go, though. Also, although it takes more time, you can get the copy of the Japan Time from a Asahi Shinbun Home Delivery Center near your house. They are often called "ASA.".
2. Use the JT and finish Handout, pp. 3-4 (Homework #1). Note that this handout was made BEFORE the newspaper was published. Therefore, you may NOT be able to find ALL the information. If so, write "The information is not available" or "N/A" in the handout.
3. Use the handouts about self-introduction and physical message (i.e., pp. 22-25) and repare well for your self-introduction! Do not forget to rehearse with a watch and body language as many times as possible, so that you can talk about yourself like Dr. Mcgonigal!

For Tuesday, June 12, 2018:

1. Prepare well for the simulation of the discussion question about the elderly people's drivers' licenses.
2. Prepare well for Masa's FOP. He needs your active participation in his discussion question section.
1. Give your FOP handouts to your classmates in this class.
1. Submit your term papers.
1. Send your FOP emails by this class. Note: (1) BEFORE your send me your first email, however, make sure to do some "marketing" of your discussion question with your Keio friends and find out their answers AND their reasons for yes and no. Also, do not forget to ask them what information they need to know to answer your discussion question. (2) Asking the question to yourselves is also a good way to judge whether your discussion question is good or not. Imagine this. If one of your classmates asks the question in his/her FOP, will YOU volunteer to answer the question? What information do you need to answer the question? Provide a lot of such information not only in your first handouts but also in the background information section, so that your classmates will enjoy discussion for 10 minutes during your FOPs.
