Important Comments about Story and Visual Messages of Your Final Speech Rehearsals

1. Common Weak Points:
(1) Transition Phrases in the Body Section --> Read Class Handout, p. 27.
(2) Use of Posters #2-4 --> Read Class Handout, pp. 32-33 and Review 3 Steps of Introduction, Explanation and Emphasis. Many people forgot to read the titles (Step 1: Introduction), skipped Step 2, and talked too much about details (Spep 3).

2. Posters #2-4: Posters with Data:
(1) Answer the following two questions:
(i) Can you use these posters in three steps (Handout, pp. 32-33)?
(ii) Can you cover each poster with 6-8 sentences?
If your answers to these questions are "no," your poster may not match your main supporting point. When there is such a mismatch, you need to talk a lot. If the content of a poster matches with your main supporting point, you do not have to talk a lot, and you can finish each supporting point very fast with about 6-8 sentences.

(2) Write sources of information. Write enough information for us to find the original data.

Wednesday, June 20, 2012: Final Presentations from Yamamoto to Kozuka + Endo's Rehearsal
