PRESENTATION RANKINGS

These rankings are based on students' peer evaluation sheets, and they are not necessarily
evaluated the same way by the instructor of this class. Yet, presentations are not only for the
teacher but also for your audience. And these rankings show how well these people
communicated with their audience in their speeches. Congratulations!!! I hope many of you
will appear in these rankings.

SPEECH 2 "SHOW AND TELL" (June 4, 2004)

When you look at your speech in the video, look at these people's
presentations too! You can learn a lot from good presentations.

SPEECH 3 "BOOK/MOVIE REVIEW" (June 11, 2004)

1. Oka (28.8 out of 35.0)

As you can see, we see some chnage in the ranking. BUT (!) the difference
in scores is very small. Yes, it was a close race!!! They all gave very
good presentations.

SPEECH 4 "INTRODUCTION" of Final Presentation (June 18, 2004)

1.Yaguchi and Y. Watanabe (39.8 out of 50.0)
3. Hatta (39.2)
4. Shinoda (39.1)
5. Yokoyama (38.6)

Note that the class average was 36.5. This means it was again a very
close race!!!

SPEECH 4 "REHEARSAL" of Final Presentation (June 21 & 25, 2004)

Note that the class average was 37.1. Again, it was mostly a
very close race. As I said in the last class, peak yourself in your
final presentation. You need to look at all presentation handouts
