For Monday, November 1, 2004:

This class was canceled due to the baseball between Keio and Waseda. This means we need tochange our class schedule. As you can see in the Schedule section of our homepage, we will postpone all presentations by one class. Note that this means a various changes have also been made to your DEADLINES BEFORE your presentations (e.g., the deadline to send information about your presentation to Mr. Shimura). Look at the Schedule section of our web site and change relevant entries in your schedule books too.
Remeber to finish the homework for this class too: Read Class Handouts, pp. 13-17 and start thinking about your second presentation. Also, I want you to be more active in discussion sections. Prepare well for all future presentations. OK?
See you on Friday!
Note to Mr. Okumura ONLY: (1) Read the new handouts about the second presentations (pp. 13-17, esp. 14-15),(2) select a topic and a news story for your second presentation, and (3) send ALL info about your second presentaiton (written in Section II.3 on p. 14) to me ASAP. Since you were absent from the very important class on Friday, I have sent you the handouts by email.
